How to Apply Online for SBI PO 2021?

It is advised that the candidates keep a valid and active email id and contact no. throughout the SBI PO Recruitment Process to receive all the updates related to it. The Steps to apply online for the SBI PO will comprise of two stages: || Registration | Login | The steps to apply online is given below.

Registration

  1.  Click on the official link, provided below.
  2. Click on the Apply link given on the page. A registration link will open up in the new window.
  3. Click on New Registration in the application window.
  4. Provide personal credentials like name, parents’ name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, etc.
  5. Click on the submit button to the completed online registration form of SBI PO.
  6. After the Registration, a Registration ID and a password will be sent to your mobile no. and email id.

Login

  1. Login with the provided Registration ID, date of birth, and password to complete registration for SBI PO 2021.
  2. Upload your photograph and signature following the requisites mentioned below.
  3. Upload scanned image of passport size photo (size-20 to 50 Kb) and signature (10 to 20 Kb) in JPEG format.
    Size of Photograph: 200 x 230 pixels
    Size of Signature: 140 x 60 pixels.
  4. After uploading the photograph and signature the candidates will be required to verify the details. Preview and verify the application form carefully.
  5. Lastly, pay the required application fee online.

    SBI PO 2021: Selection Process

    The SBI PO Selection Procedure involves three phases: || Prelims | Main | Interview ||
    Each round holds equal importance and hence qualification in each round is important to enter into the next subsequent round until final selection.

    Stage 1: SBI PO Prelims

    1. The SBI PO Prelims Exam is the first basic round for the candidates to test their general aptitude.
    2. SBI PO Prelims Exam is an online objective test of 1 hour.
    3. The Exam consists of 3 sections- English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
    4. There will be no sectional cut-off in the SBI PO Prelims Exam.
    5. However, there will be an overall cut offset by the bank as per the category of the candidates.
    6. Candidates numbering 10 times the number of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for Main Examination from the top of the above merit list.

    Stage 2: SBI PO Mains

    1. The candidates who clear the SBI PO Pre will be eligible to appear for the SBI PO Mains Exam.
    2. The SBI PO Mains Exam comprises of Objective Test and Descriptive Test.
    3. The SBI PO Mains Exam is of 4 sections (English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness) which will be objective in nature.
    4. The descriptive test is of 50 marks and is conducted immediately after the objective test.
    5. Category wise merit list will be drawn based on the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination.
    6. There will be no sectional cut-off.
    7. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview from the top of the category wise merit list subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score

    Stage 3: SBI PO Group Exercises & Interview

    This is the last stage of the selection process. The candidates who have qualified for the SBI Mains Exam will be called to appear for the Interview and Group Exercise. This round holds the utmost importance in deciding the fate of the candidate concerning the final selection.

    The marks obtained in the SBI Mains and Interview are used for the final selection of the candidate as an SBI PO.

    SBI PO Exam Pattern 2021

    SBI PO Exam Pattern 2021 will be covering two phases for online exams, Prelims & Mains. This will be followed by an interview.

    SBI PO Exam Pattern 2021: Prelims

    1. This is the first round of the SBI PO Exam.
    2. This will have 3 sections where each section will have to be completed in 20 Minutes.
    3. The total marks of the SBI PO Prelims Exam are 100 Marks while the duration of the exam is 1 Hour.
    4. One (1) mark is awarded for every correct answer.
    5. There will be a penalty of 0.25 Marks for every incorrect answer marked by the candidate.
    6. All the questions will be set bilingually i.e. in English and Hindi, except the English Language.

      SBI PO Exam Pattern For Mains

      This is the 2nd Stage of the SBI PO Exam. The candidates who will qualify for the Prelims of the SBI PO Exam will be eligible to appear for the SBI PO Mains Exam 2021.

      1. There will be four sections for the SBI PO Mains Exam and an additional section of the English Language which will be taken separately on the same date of the exam.
      2. The SBI PO Mains Exam will have a total of 155 MCQ’s of a total duration of 3 Hours.
      3. There will be separate timing for each section as it was in the SBI PO Mains Exam.
      4. There will be a penalty of 0.25 Marks for an incorrect answer.

      Introduction of Descriptive Test

      The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The English Language Paper is to assess the candidates’ writing skills and it is compulsory to pass in this paper by securing a minimum Cut Off by the commission.

      SBI PO Interview

      Candidates qualifying in the objective and descriptive test will be called for a group exercise & interview.

      1. The SBI PO Group Exercises will be of 20 marks while the Interview will be of 30 marks. Thus, making it a total of 50 Marks.
      2. Qualification/ qualifying marks in the group exercise and interview is decided by the Bank. Aggregate marks will decide the qualification after which they will be arranged in descending order in each category.
      3. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list.
      4. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately.

      SBI PO Final Scores

      The preliminary exam of SBI PO or Tier 1 is only considered for the selection or qualification into the mains(tier 2) exam.

      1. Candidates have to qualify for both Prelims & Mains round. Phase 2 and the Interview round will be deciding the final selection.
      2. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list.
      3. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately.
      4. Marks secured by the candidates in the Main Examination (out of 250) are converted to out of 75 marks and Group Exercises & Interview scores of the candidate (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks.
      5. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Main Examination and Group Exercises.

        SBI PO Prelims Syllabus 2021

        The SBI PO Prelims Syllabus will comprise of three sections:

        • Logical Reasoning
        • English Language
        • Quantitative Aptitude

        SBI PO Salary

        SBI PO offers a great salary and profile to the candidates in public sector banks. Now, Probationary officer is a job that has an entry pay, which is higher than almost all jobs at any other govt bank job. The basic pay of SBI PO is Rs 27, 620. The increments will be as follows:
